Brazilian Ju-jutsu

Brazilian Ju-Jitsu is primarily a ground fighting art. Most techniques involve both fighters on the mat. Attaches great importance to the strategy for the position, which is the best fighter, and feet for each person. Attitudes stable situation where a number of techniques available to both fighters.

The main features are:

* Guard: the person locking the back ground, her legs around his opponent's hips (who said that "on hold").
* Side control: Chest-on-chest, but no bones are closely linked.
* Mount: On top of his opponent (who "is mounted"), sitting on his chest with one foot on each side of the body.
* Return: get behind his opponent with his legs hanging around the opponent's hips and thighs.

Specific techniques taught are designed to position (eg improving treatment, provided that the "open" to work around the opponent's leg, which led to the administration page) or as a finishing line. Most claims are either chokes (cutting off blood supply to the brain) or arm locks (hyper-extended elbow or arm twisting).

Quality strip of white belt and progress of blue, purple, brown, black. It usually takes about 2-3 years training several times a week to the next belt. But there is no official language test. Instead, the position is to Jiu-Jitsu techniques in a competitive match. Student must be generally able to reliably defeat most other students at a particular grade to be promoted to the next grade.

Due to the Jiu-Jitsu roots, and the interests of competition, some related techniques learned. In any case, other specific martial arts focus on these more complex techniques than BJJ, and generally I have to mention a rare practice in BJJ training. For example, the Downs are often similar to those of judo and wrestling West, locking pins (as in Sambo) are not supported, but sometimes it's allowed. Some schools teach street self-defense or defense weapons, and this command is often much more like an old Japanese partners practice Jiu-Jitsu, and rarely followed by a daily exercise. In addition, many dedicated BJJ students interested in MMA competition, and seek their practice without GI, and sometimes with the addition or deletion of a Muay Thai boxing.
